Heart of the Father is Love

It’s funny to think that we can run from the Love of God. No matter what corner we hide in, or what road we decide to take, nothing can separate us from the Love of God.

Many of us cannot comprehend His love. We cannot accept the fact that God loves us with every part of Himself. Why? We tend to look at life through the eyes of the World and not through the eyes of Jesus, therefore missing the heart of God for our lives.

Do you know that God watches over you in His Love? That He can feel your heart when it is broken and torn to pieces? Do you know that He weeps when you weep?

Mary and Martha were devastated over the death of their brother Lazarus. They made statements to Jesus, crying out stating if He would’ve been there and not away, Lazarus would’ve lived. They had no understanding of the matter and what was about to take place, but Jesus knowing that He would raise Lazarus from the dead to bring glory to God, he still wept in love.

John 11:5

5 Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. 6 So when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days, 7 and then he said to his disciples, “Let us go back to Judea.”

John 11:32

32 When Mary reached the place where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet and said, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.”

33 When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. 34 “Where have you laid him?” he asked.

“Come and see, Lord,” they replied.

35 Jesus wept.

36 Then the Jews said, “See how he loved him!”

Is God weeping over you today? Is He calling you forth in His love? Have you been looking through the eyes of this World and perhaps missed the Father’s heart for your life?

God is Love (1 John 4:8). There’s no way of getting around this truth. He shows Himself in many ways but the first way He reveals Himself to us is through Love.

1 John 4:19- We love because he first loved us.

1 John 4:16 - 16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
