Tonight we are starting our New Series “A Woman of Virtue, Becoming the Best You. What does it mean to be the best you? We’ve all gone through real life situations that pulled us away from our original core being. Our true personality and character traits become hindered due to life circumstances and most of us are unaware of who we really are. We may have an idea but in many cases we find ourselves fumbling around guessing and making assumptions about ourselves based off of someone else’s opinion and before you know it, you’re mixed up and confused because the confidence, the truth has not been spoken into your life for you to grab a hold of.
Who you are?
If someone was to ask you “Who are you?” or “What are some of the things that you like?” and you can’t answer that with confidence, chances are you yourself would still like to know that answer. Do you know who you are? Do you know what you’re made of? Well the, answer to one of the questions is, Yes. We are made up of good stuff. Why? Because the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit created us in their own image and if they created you to be like them, you really are untouchable. Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
God created us in their likeness to rule and reign over the earth. In John 4:24 [Full Chapter] God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”God has revealed to many believers that we (me and you) were spirit too, before entering into our mother’s womb. We were spirits in heaven and we had a conversation with the Father before coming down to gain our fleshly bodies. We spoke about the assignments that we would be on if we agreed to come down here on this earth. If you are reading this, since you were born, you agreed to the assignment and calling that he placed upon your life before birth and you are here right now, walking it out, trying to find your way back to God.
You may not know it but God has created us in such a special way that I believe no matter what we face, we can be so far away from Him and our calling but we are still connected to him. He placed a mark on us and we may stray for years but we can always turn and be connected to the Father immediately. So when you entered into your mother’s womb, you became flesh and blood. You began life, you had a little heartbeat and you became a child, someone’s daughter. Now, you may not have an earthly mother or father that raised you, but you have a Heavenly Father that created you, gave you life and spoke greatness into your life and He’s watching over you right now, waiting for you to tap into the source. Tap into Him, He’s the source! Only He knows what he’s placed inside of you and only He can reveal it.
The Source
Have you ever heard of the analogy, the only person who knows every detail about the invention is the Inventor? This is true. Why? Because the Inventor put every piece there was to fit together perfectly to fulfill a special purpose. Only that Inventor knows why there’s a small belt that is no bigger than your finger tip strap to a piece of steel on your new vacuum cleaner. If I’m not the Inventor, I wouldn’t know what the belt would actually do. I would have an idea but only the Inventor can bring life and truth behind the purpose. So we need to go back to God, the Source and find out what he’s placed inside of us. Why do we like the things that we like? Why do we get excited over particular things in our lives?
Freedom
When we discover our real personality, our real character traits and what the purpose is for, it will blow your mind and the picture of life starts to change. You don’t feel so weird anymore because you’re starting to see a glimpse of reality and you slowly begin to understand who you are. You have “Ah-Ha!” moments and God, our Father, our Source, starts to encourage us to look even deeper. Do you know that you are full of hidden gifts and talents? Do you understand that when God sees you he’s sees all of you, even the things that you are unaware of? Do you understand that his heart beats after you because he knows you don’t see what He sees but he desires for you to see the real you!
How do you find out who you really are? This is tricky, I’m not going to lie but if you know deep down on the inside that you were made for more, that you deserve more, you are on your way. You have given yourself an opportunity to receive a different perspective on life and now you have to grab a hold of the truth, letting nothing stop you. John 8:32 New International Version (NIV)32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”Do you want freedom? Do you want change? If you have always seen or experienced hardship, it’s really hard for you to believe that God is real, let alone that He loves you. What I found out is, when he’s ready for you to leave the World and enter into His Kingdom, you’ll know it. You may not understand what’s happening but you’ll know it. You will feel a lot of pressure in your life for change. You will no longer feel comfortable doing the things you used to do.
The World
I recently heard a man say “the enemy is your flesh, the world and Satan” and I had to stop and ponder on this…For years I would blame everything on the Devil until I realized I play a part in this too. My flesh is weak and out of control. This means that my own personal desires was in action and I had to get myself together to figure out what was best for me. Maybe this is where you are right now?? What’s interesting is the gentlemen said the world is your enemy. I knew God was calling us out of the world, to separate us from the world to do the greater works but still never really looked at it as an “enemy” This is something to consider, that the world could be your enemy based upon where you are spiritually in life. The scriptures speaks a lot about the world, but the world that has become tainted.
Psalm 24:1
Of David. A psalm.
1 The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;
In Isaiah 14 it speaks about the Fall of Lucifer and how he brought wilderness to the world.
Isaiah 14:16 New International Version (NIV)
16 Those who see you stare at you, they ponder your fate: “Is this the man who shook the earth and made kingdoms tremble, 17 the man who made the world a wilderness, who overthrew its cities and would not let his captives go home?"
When you think about the word “wilderness” it’s a hard place to be in and at times wilderness can represent death but through the many changes of this world God still loved the world. Jesus Saves In John 3:16 scriptures say:For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.John 3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.Jesus didn’t come to this world to condemn us but to save us, to bring life to us. John 6:51 reads:I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”1 Samuel 2:8 He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor. “For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s; on them he has set the world. Do you understand there’s life in Jesus? Do you understand his nature? This is going to play a big role in this series {His character, His nature}.God created us in His image, we have attributes of the Father, we are his Daughters, we have inherited His nature and characteristics. Now, God created the World, Satan tainted the world, Jesus saved the world and He’s calling us out from among the world.
John 15:19 New International Version (NIV)
19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.God does not desire for you to be a part of this world any longer. You being His Daughter, He wants the very best for you, He knows what the world has offered you {trouble, heartache and pain} but in Him there’s Joy, Peace, Comfort, Freedom, etc. He desires for you to have this.Matthew 7:11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!A good father takes care of his children. A good father will train his child in his ways, teach them about the ways of life {what to do and what not to do}. A good father will be there for his daughter no matter what comes their way. A good father will always make time for his daughter and enjoys the time the he spends with her. If you study some of the good Earthly Fathers, you can tell by the look in their eyes how much they adore their daughter. You can see the love and pride they carry as they speak of their daughter. And this is how our Heavenly Father is with us. We are so precious to him. He doesn’t want us to be hurt, but He knows when we do get hurt, we’re going to grow and learn from it. He knows that if we just run to Him, He will make it all better. He can bandage us up, seal it with a kiss and release us back out to experience more. This is who He is to us. He’s a good Father, a loving Father who wants the best for his daughters.
Conclusion
I really believe this series is going to be line upon line, precept upon precept, meaning God is going to take His time to pull the very best out of you. He’s not going to rush through anything he wants to share because He wants to lay the foundation down first, so we can become stronger in Him, receiving the truths and knowledge of who we are and we you belong to. This series will uproot the lies of the enemy because God is ready for you to bloom and blossom in His kingdom. Stay tune for next week as we go forth in our new series, “A Woman of Virtue, Becoming the best you”.
